“Welcome to the World of Bonsai!

Our concept is a bonsai shop that doesn’t leave beginners behind. We hope to be the first stop for anyone interested in bonsai. Bonsai isn’t just a hobby; it’s like a comprehensive art form. It involves more than just cultivating trees—it starts with choosing the right pot and extends to considering how to display it according to the location and season.

The compatibility between the tree and the pot is crucial. When combined with art and supplementary elements, it’s like a concert for the soul. By blending these different elements, one’s inner self is expressed. Expressing your heart through bonsai and sharing that joy when it’s understood—it’s truly a moving moment.

There are various ways to enjoy bonsai. You can appreciate it, create it, or find joy in its daily care. We want bonsai to be enjoyed easily, so we offer many bonsai at affordable prices.

Living with bonsai surely brings happiness to your everyday life. Let’s enjoy this wonderful green world together and spend our days full of smiles. We look forward to meeting you at the shop.

BONSAI Labo Growing Nature and the Heart

Our story began in 2012 as BONSAI LABO Rin, starting from a room in a mixed-use building. When people think of a bonsai shop, they often associate it with a garden (en), but due to not having land and recognizing the endless learning journey of bonsai, we chose the name “LABO” rather than “en” for our shop’s name.

After running a bonsai shop in Osaka for about ten years, we began to aspire to venture into bonsai production. To fulfill this aspiration, in 2022, we relocated to Tanba City, Hyogo Prefecture.

Acquiring land and being able to handle numerous bonsai, we might seem more like a traditional bonsai shop now. However, we are determined to stay true to our original intentions, dedicating our lives to bonsai, thus inheriting the “LABO” spirit.

The excitement and gratitude for embarking on new ventures in this new place fill our hearts. With a desire to root ourselves in the Tanba region, we named ourselves BONSAI Labo.

BONSAI LABO consists of three spaces:

Atelier: Our workspace, workshop space, and a resting area for our visitors. Materials Store: Display and sale of bonsai pots, tools, soil, fertilizers, and other materials. Bonsai Display Area: Display and sale of bonsai seedlings and finished trees.

Feel free to visit with your children. As we are also raising children, we have amenities available such as diaper changing stations, toys, breastfeeding spaces, hot water, etc., if you’d like us to prepare them using items from our own homes.

Please make yourself comfortable and feel free to spend time at your leisure without any hesitation.
